STRANGE JOURNEY

It is louder than we think

Appears farther than we see

But we always choose to ignore

Always take for granted the core

 

Attempting to understand ourselves,

We stumble rise and fall.

Still ignoring the problem,

We begin to explore.

 

Our wandering minds proceed on a journey,

A journey of discovery.

Still dodging the core,

We avoid what is in store.

 

 

Then reality hits

Life captures us

It raptures and plunges our hearts in despair,

forcing us to realize the problem.

 

 

Struggling to get through it begins.

We decide to follow the signs,

They land us at the crossroads,

And set our hearts on fire.

 

Finally we get a grip

We get a hold on ourselves.

We long to get back to the beginning

To know that pain will be no more

 

At that point all’s been resolved.

We are back in one piece.
